About Me
Welcome to my professional portfolio. I am Erika Badalyan, an experienced freelance filmmaker, editor, cinematographer, and photographer, based in Poland. My work spans across Central Europe and worldwide, including commercials, music clips, TV, and film projects.
Educational Background
I graduated from the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography. I moved to Poland to deepen my understanding of its culture and art, studying at the Andrzej Wajda School, completing the "Creative Development" course for producers, and subsequently at the AMA Film Academy, focusing on camera and lighting techniques.
Professional Experience
My career in the film industry began in 2005 with leading television stations in Armenia. My experience spans across working with Armenian TV stations and advertisement agencies, where I worked as a Film Trailer Editor at Shant TV, Presenter and Director of TV programs at Yerevan TV, Second Film Director at Armenian Public TV, and Creative Producer and Filmmaker at Noemi. Over the years, I have held various significant roles, including Head of Video Production and Director at Mushroom Advertisement Agency, and Creative Producer and Director for the American brand Lalogy. During the last 20 years, I have gained extensive experience as a filmmaker and video editor, having filmed and edited commercials, music clips, and branding films for various clients. In Poland, I founded my film production company, BE MOVIE, and with it, I have also collaborated with different advertisement companies and artists while working as a filmmaker and video editor.
Notable Achievements
In 2016, I was awarded the "Best Pitch" category at the SAKDOC Film Festival in Tbilisi for my documentary project, "Red Lipstick." I have also curated a photo exhibition on surgical operations with the support of the Swiss Embassy in Armenia and produced a short film about the Swiss-Italian artist, Felici Varini.

In 2019, I produced a documentary on Stanisław Wyspiański's work, which premiered at the Słowacki Theater in Krakow and was broadcasted on multiple TV stations. From 2019 to 2021, I contributed to the creation of the TV program 'Direction West' on TVP Polonia. Additionally, I was involved in the production of '360 VR Video Discovery TRVLR' for the Discovery Channel.
